Key Strategies

Research and Documentation: Conduct comprehensive research on the prevalence and impact of discriminatory practices in family courts and related systems.
Legal Action and Accountability: Utilise legal mechanisms, including POPIA, to challenge discriminatory laws and practices and hold institutions accountable.
Public Awareness and Education: Raise awareness about the issue of discrimination in family courts and educate the public, parents, and legal professionals about their rights and responsibilities.
Policy Advocacy and Reform: Advocate for legislative and policy changes that promote equality and eliminate discriminatory practices.
Partnerships and Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with other organisations and stakeholders to maximise our impact.

Organisational Structure

F²LAMEA is an advocacy group for now with aspirations to be registered as a non-profit organisation (NPO) in South Africa. The organisation will be governed by a Board of Directors, which will provide strategic guidance and oversight. A team of dedicated staff and volunteers will carry out the day-to-day operations of the organisation.

Funding

F²LAMEA will seek funding from a variety of sources, including:

Founder Contributions
Membership fees
Individual donations
Grants from foundations and government agencies
Fundraising events

Evaluation

F²LAMEA will regularly evaluate its progress and impact to ensure that we are achieving our goals and making a positive difference in the lives of the people we serve.
