Fathers & Family Legal Advocacy Movement for Equality and Accountability
F²LAMEA is a father-driven family advocacy movement originating in South Africa, born from a critical examination of the discriminatory Children’s Act and the biased family courts that marginalize fathers. We are dedicated to challenging and dismantling practices that undermine parental rights and family unity, with a core focus on achieving true equality before the law for all parents, regardless of gender or race.
Founded by Salatiso Lonwabo Mdeni, F²LAMEA reflects a personal commitment to justice, sparked by his own experiences and documented in works like The Homeschooling Father, Goliath’s Reckoning, and Beyond Redress.
F²LAMEA is currently an advocacy group with aspirations to be registered as a non-profit organisation (NPO) in South Africa. The organisation will be governed by a Board of Directors, which will provide strategic guidance and oversight. A team of dedicated staff and volunteers will carry out the day-to-day operations of the organisation.
F²LAMEA’s work will primarily benefit parents, children, and families who have been affected by discriminatory practices in family courts and related systems. Our advocacy efforts will also benefit legal professionals, policymakers, and the general public.
